About Corentera
Corentera Capital is an independent Luxembourg financial-services company founded by three principals from fund management. We bring together three complementary capabilities: Corentera Invest, systematic and research-led investment management; Corentera Tech, fund-publishing infrastructure for asset managers and management companies; and Corentera Research, research on the structural forces reshaping markets.
Corentera Capital has applied to the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) for authorisation as an investment firm. The authorisation has not yet been granted, and regulated investment services will only be provided once it has. You join as we move from application to regulated operations.
The role
We are expanding our IT function. This is an early-career role for someone who wants to learn how IT works in a regulated financial firm: not only how systems are built and run, but how they are governed, documented and evidenced.
You work alongside our Head of IT on the operation, security and documentation of our systems, adding the depth and continuity a regulated firm needs. Our compliance function interprets the regulatory requirements and oversees the controls. As your experience grows, so does your ownership.
What you will do
Cloud operations. Help run and maintain our Azure platform: private networking, managed containers, PostgreSQL and identity-based access. Monitoring, patching and backups, and our resilience programme, including high availability, backup and recovery testing as well as security testing.
IT governance. Operate and continuously improve our ICT governance processes, within our ICT risk management framework designed to meet DORA and CSSF requirements, and with oversight from our compliance function: ICT asset inventory, register of ICT third-party arrangements, access reviews, change and incident records, policies and procedures, and the evidence behind them. Compliance explains what the rules require; you help make the systems demonstrate it.
Workplace IT. Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Defender; joiners and leavers; laptops and licences; first-line support for colleagues.
Building. Automate what you do twice, and contribute to internal tools and Corentera Tech products (TypeScript and Python, GitHub, Docker) as your skills develop. We work in short iterations: small changes, reviewed, recorded and shipped.
What you bring
- A degree or vocational qualification in IT, computer science, information systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- First professional experience in cloud, system administration, IT operations or IT support. Internships, apprenticeships and work-study count.
- Working knowledge of at least one public cloud (ideally Azure) and the basics of networking, identity and access management.
- Some scripting (PowerShell, Bash or Python) and familiarity with Git.
- A genuine interest in IT governance, risk and security. You want to know why a control exists, and you write things down so that colleagues, and an auditor, can follow.
- AI as an everyday working tool, used with judgement: you check what it produces before you rely on it.
- Fluent written and spoken English, German is a plus.
Helpful, not required
- Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep or similar), Docker, PostgreSQL.
- Microsoft 365, Entra ID or Intune administration.
- Exposure to ISO 27001, ITIL, DORA or another regulated environment.
- Certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-104 or SC-900.
- French or German.
We will train you in what you do not know yet.
Where this role can lead
Depending on your interests, towards cloud and platform engineering, information security, or ICT risk and governance. We agree a development plan with you in your first months.
